Finally, WhatsApp is rolling out support for multi-device login with more than one phone. The release of this feature was announced by Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook e Instagram.

WhatsApp said that this feature will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.

Until now, users could only use one account WhatsApp on a phone and several companion desktop devices.

With the new release, the messages of users will sync between devices, including other phones. So even if one device is turned off, they can access the app on other devices.

WhatsApp is one of the services Messenger service largest out there with over 2 billion users. But until now it lacked multi-phone support due to full end-to-end encryption support for chats y calls.

The company began testing multi-device compatibility in 2021 with select beta users.

At that moment, Meta said it had developed a new technology to sync messages between devices while maintaining end-to-end encryption protection.

In 2022, WhatsApp began making multi-device features available to everyone. But it was not compatible with several phones.

WhatsApp is also rolling out a new way to pair devices using a one-time code.

“Now you can get a one-time code by entering your mobile phone number in WhatsApp Webwhich you can use to pair devices instead of scanning the QR code on your mobile phone. We will make this feature available for more paired devices in the future,” the company said in a post on blog.
