WhatsApp delays changes in privacy policies

Due to the paranoia that the announcement of the changes and conditions in terms of WhatsApp security got, the company has decided to delay them for a few months and focus on making them known and understood by users before applying them.

This decision is the response to the millions of accounts that have been deleted in recent days, as despite the company’s efforts to report correctly, there are still incorrect comments.

With a new application date for May 15 of this year, the new privacy policies will be explained and disclosed in their entirety by different media, including WhatsApp and Instagram stories.

“WhatsApp was created to partir from a simple idea: what you share with your friends and family stays between you. This means that we will always protect your personal conversations with end-to-end encryption, so that neither WhatsApp nor Facebook can see those private messages. For that reason, we do not keep records of the contacts to whom each person calls or messages. Nor can we see the locations you share or share your contacts with Facebook, “read a statement.

In addition, it is assured that WhatsApp helped bring end-to-end encryption to users around the world, and that they are committed to defending this security technology both today and in the future.

The update includes new options for sharing messages with companies on WhatsApp, and provides greater transparency regarding how they collect and use data, and does not expand their ability to share data with Facebook.
