WhatsApp Beta Trial File Send Limit Up To 2GB

Tribunnews Reporter, Mikael Dafit Adi Prasetyo

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, NEW YORK – WhatsApp is testing increasing the file sending limit for certain WhatsApp Beta users.

According to WABetainfo, some WhatsApp Beta users can send files up to 2GB in size. The increased file sending limit appears to be limited to certain WhatsApp Beta users in Argentina.

Currently, WhatsApp can only send files between users with a maximum size of 100MB. With this size, WhatsApp users can only send a few photos and short videos.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp’s competitor, Telegram, has already offered a file transfer limit far above WhatsApp.

Telegram users can share and send files up to a maximum of 2GB starting in 2020.

Quoted from windowscentral.com, other social media platforms like Discord can only share and send files with a maximum size of 8MB, unless the user has Nitro, which allows for larger file transfers.

Also, WhatsApp recently started rolling out the multi-device support feature to the stable build. This feature will remove the online connection requirement on smartphones so that the chat platform can be used on multiple devices.
