What’s going on in Styria?

What’s going on in the north, where is the new hotspot in Voitsberg and what’s going on in the southeast? We know what’s going on around youth management.

Styrian central area

A brand new youth center is starting in Voitsberg: The “TimeOut” was created with strong participation of local youth. Only a few kilometers further on, the “Youth Location Ubelbach” project will celebrate its kick-off in 2021. With the support of the regional youth management and the youth of the region, a place in the open air by and for young people is to be created. In addition, after the successes in Southwest and Upper Styria, “MakeITsafe 2.0”, the project for the safe use of digital media, is now also starting in the central Styrian area.

Southeast Styria

In Southeast Styria, however, the regional youth management will start the new year with a freshly revised website. A modern information platform for schools, youth centers, social services and other facilities for young people is waiting at jugend.vulkanland.at. The information ranges from current projects, events, advisory services in the region to an offer map for the leisure sector. At the same time, the project “Regional Policy Meets Youth” starts at the school locations in Feldbach and Bad Radkersburg.

Oststeiermark

From the south-east we continue to Eastern Styria, where a similar format is establishing itself. Under the title “Political Education & Democracy Education East Styria”, young community and state politicians meet for a discourse. The events are rounded off by short lectures and interviews.
The network “Kulturelle Nahversorgung Oststeiermark”, in which regional art and cultural organizers have come together, pursues a different experience. The program includes cabarets, band contests and workshops that invite you to get active yourself. Speaking of East and Southeast Eiermark: For 17 years, the 8-Cities Network has been offering a voucher for over 500 restaurants, retail and services in Bad Radkersburg, Fehring, Feldbach, Friedberg, Fürstenfeld, Gleisdorf, Hartberg and Weiz. Now 8-Cities is going digital. With the “8 + Advantage Club” and the new mobile phone app, every voucher gives you bonus points for excursion destinations, leisure facilities, hotels and other hotspots in the region. In addition, new competitions are constantly waiting in the app.

Upper Styria WEST

In the Murau-Murtal region, students at upper secondary schools, higher education and polytechnic schools started the school year with a multifunctional calendar. In addition to its obvious functions, the loyal companion is full of information about the region and the career opportunities that await after school.
The youth management has designed a regional sticker album for the young residents. If you collect the football superstars in the famous Panini album, excursion destinations, local products, records and lots of interesting facts from the area await you here.
