As we announced this past Wednesday, a meeting was held online between the ADC and the participating clubs of the Argentine League.
Punctually at 7:00 p.m. the Club Association launched the call and informed the delegates of the clubs about the competition scheme, a novelty taking into account the context that is being lived and taking as an experience the development of the National League .
Apparently there will be 30 teams, today 26 of them would confirm their presence in the beginning, all from last season, there are 4 “folders” under study and the start date would be between February 10 and 15. This will be confirmed the first days of the new year.
There was talk of a FIRST STAGE that the teams would be divided into four groups of four members each respecting the club conferences.
- Each team will play 5 matches in each round, against teams from the other group and one against a team from their group. Every two meetings there will be a day of rest.
- There will be THREE ROUNDS where each club will play a total of 15 games and will take a unique position table. Between rounds there will be 10 days off.
For the SECOND STAGE, the teams will be ordered from the first to the last, where the first four will go directly to the Quarterfinals and the last four will conclude their participation in the contest.
In the FOURTH ROUND , those located from 5th to 12th will congregate in a venue where they will cross
5 vs 12 – 6 vs 11 – 7 vs 10 – 8 vs 9 in best of two games Playoffs.
The winners of these Playoffs will reclassify and then play with the four who previously qualified for the Quarterfinals. This step starts the FIFTH ROUND where they will play 1 vs 8 – 2 vs 7 – 3 vs 6 – 4 vs 5
The four semifinalists will come from there after playing the best of two Playoffs (1 vs 4 – 2 vs 3), the next stage being the Final among the winners of the semifinals.
The tournament is stipulated to last approximately 90 days for the finalists and 60 days for the first eliminated. The end date would be the end of May.
