Information about the second non-x-ray console once again leaked the other day – now through official documentation, which reported on several consoles in the framework of the project under the working title Scarlett, which eventually turned out to be Xbox Series X.
According to media reports, the current XSX devkit provides a profile for Lockhart under the working title Dante. In it, developers are available:
- 7.5 GB of RAM (versus 13.5 GB in XSX)
- processor with reduced frequency
- 4 teraflops GPU (versus 12 teraflops in XSX).
The lower-end console, which the Xbox Series S may call, is designed for games in 1080p and 1440p resolution – now these are the most popular resolutions for PC players.
Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are created taking into account 4K displays.
All next-generation consoles, including the Xbox Series S, are due out this year.
