The price of the dollar on an exchange platform
The price of the dollar against the Lebanese pound stabilized on the Sayrafa platform at 86,700 thousand pounds against one dollar, with a total transaction volume of $83.5 million, according to the latest figures from the Central Bank of Lebanon.
The price of the dollar against the pound on the black market
The price of the dollar rose against the Lebanese pound today on the black market, to 96,800 thousand pounds for purchase, compared to 96,000 pounds for purchase yesterday, while its price for sale stabilized at 97,000 pounds.
The official dollar rate
It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Lebanon modified, in February 2023, the exchange rate of the dollar to match the customs dollar, so that the official price of the government became 15 thousand pounds against the dollar.
Reports indicated that many economists in Lebanon believe that tourism will flourish during the current period due to holidays and days off, expecting that tourism figures in Lebanon will return to before the 2019 crisis that Lebanon is experiencing so far.
Pierre Al-Ashqar, head of the Federation of Tourism Syndicates, said that the number of Lebanese in the Arabian Gulf is 450,250 thousand expatriates, who come to Lebanon during the holidays, and have private homes or reside with their relatives, and therefore they will not be monitored by hotel reservations.
