What Is Monkeypox or Monkey Pox? Here’s the origin, early symptoms and how it spreads

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – A very rare disease, monkeypox or monkeypox has spread again in the United States (US), thus CNN report.

Case monkey pox reported to occur in a patient hospitalized in Massachusetts who recently traveled to Canada by private transportation, Wednesday (18/5/2022).

In 2021, two people who traveled from Nigeria to the US were diagnosed with the disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Monkeypox is found mostly in West and Central Africa, but additional cases have been seen in Europe, including the UK and a number of countries in recent years.

The cases are usually linked to international travel or imported animals infected with smallpox, the CDC said.

On Thursday, Spain confirmed seven cases monkey pox in Madrid and are investigating 22 others.

Italy also confirmed its first case and Canadian public health officials announced they were investigating 17 suspected cases monkey pox in Montreal.
