What if the Prince of Persia Remake graphics weren’t the ones seen in the trailer?

During the evening of yesterday, September 10, the second appointment with Ubisoft Forward, the streaming event dedicated to the news of the French house, was held. One of the protagonists of the live was certainly Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake, remake of the classic released in 2003.

Despite The surprise, the public was decidedly disappointed by a graphic sector decidedly not up to the name, with rather bland polygonal models and more generally an almost unacceptable technical performance and barely worthy of the past generation of consoles.

Although it was clarified that this is an alpha version of the game – currently in development – an image has now emerged that may have raised a somewhat legitimate doubt: and if the video shown yesterday didn’t match the actual final look of the remake of Prince of Persia?

The question was raised by a screen published by the site Gadgets 360 and quickly bounced on Twitter. In fact, the photo shows a frame from yesterday’s trailer on the left and the same image on the right, but different from different points of view.

The level of detail of the characters looks seriously higher, as well as shadows and facial expressions. Of course, even in this case it is not the state of the art, but the photo clearly shows a graphically better game than the presentation video.

Could yesterday’s trailer show off an old build? After all, game director Pierre Sylvain-Gires has already defended the aspect of their game with the sword, explaining that it was all about a specific design choice and not the result of a limited budget or a small development team.

You have already seen in any case also the video showing the differences between the remake and the Prince of Persia released in 2003? And, in case you lost them, get them back too all the announcements of the latest Ubisoft Forward!

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in any case, it is scheduled for January 21, 2021 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, uPlay and Epic Store.
