What did Sparta show against Partizan? Vrb’s pointless change, only the performances of the young men pleased

Sparta did not manage the first spring match in Europe and Partizan lost 0: 1 at home. What did the match show who performed well and who disappointed their fans? We’ll look at that in the Spartan blog.

That’s not how it would work. Sparta did almost nothing against Partizan, and if he wanted to advance to the next round, he would have to work hard.

At the beginning of the match, it did not look bad for the team from Letná, the Spartans were better and had several promising opportunities.

As fast but a good performance came as it did. From the fifteenth minute, Sparta played similarly to the match with Victoria Pilsen.

Kicked without any vision of the goal scored, when the Sparta did not hit, the match was decided by the opponent.

After a mistaken pass by Ladislav Krejčí senior, the opponent got to the ball and after an accurate long-distance pass, Queensy Meniq got to the ball, who threw Dominika Holce and set the final result of the match at 0: 1.

Who performed well?

Martin Vitík was excellent, who won almost every duel and was certainly the better in the stopper pair. He was also pleased with the quality performance of Martin Suchomel, who followed up on successful derbies. Adam Karabec was one of the best players on the field.

Who didn’t interest?

The list will be more comprehensive here. The team as such, which did not miss David Pavelka, was no longer interested. He did not play as badly in the first half as against Pilsen, but in the second his performance dropped to the freezing point and incomprehensibly finished the match.

Michal Sáček, Dominik Holec and Ondřej Čelůstka were not convinced by their performance. But the biggest disappointment is Pavel Vrba and the defeat is largely behind him.

A strange pre-match interview and especially the rotation and reaction to the development of the game. Karabec was withdrawn relatively early, although he was successful, Pavelka remained playing despite the fact that Bořek Dočkal and Ladislav Krejčí senior came slowly to the field.

It was thus clear that there would be a lack of speed and after the substitution the chances of winning were relatively low. Dočkal’s commitment is understandable, but why did Krejčí come to the field? His performances are really bad and in addition, the only goal of the match is to his credit.

Its commitment does not make much sense when we realize that, for example, Matěj Ryneš and Vojtěch Patrák were on the bench, who would certainly be able to move the game.

All in all, the performance was at the level of a distressed draw with Viktoria Plzeň, and the lawn at Letná was at a similar level, which is perhaps better not to talk about. In Serbia, Sparta must give a completely different performance, otherwise it will say goodbye to Europe prematurely.
