With covid-19, this summer 2020 will not be like the others. AT Niort for example, no “Jeudis niortais” nor fireworks of July 14th. But that’s not going to mean that nothing will happen, on the contrary.
Bulk Day Saturday July 4
See you soon this Saturday July 4 for “Jour de Vrac” place de la Brèche from 3pm to 9pm. Bulk for Valorization of Artist Residues in Containment. 16 companies have worked to offer four show courses with a maximum of 20 people per course and per hour. On the program: theater, dance, puppets … “This is how we do live performance in all these health standards. I promise you that they will be respected”, says Nicolas Beauvillain, from the company La Chaloupe.
Open-air cinema from July 8
Six open-air cinema dates are programmed:
- Wednesday July 8 : “Jour de Fête”, by Jacques Tati, Saint-Liguaire district prairie of the village hall at 10:30 pm
- Wednesday July 15th : Takavoir Festival in replay, downtown district / pontreau center of Guesclin, at 10:30 p.m.
- Thursday July 23 : “Greenbook, on the roads of the south”, district of the clou-bouchet school Jean Zay at 10:30 pm
- Wednesday August 5 : “Cinéma Paradisio”, by Giuseppe Tornatore, downtown district / pontreau center of Guesclin, at 10 pm
- Wednesday August 12 : “First Man, the first man on the moon”, by Damien Chazelle, Cholette district miniracing track, at 10pm
- Wednesday August 19 : “9 mois ferme”, by Albert Dupontel, Goise prairie district behind the gymnasium, at 9:30 pm
No need to come with your chair. A maximum capacity of 200 people is planned. You must book at 05.49.78.74.11.
Tuesday aperitifs at Place du Donjon
The Tuesday aperitifs are maintained but they will take place on Place du Donjon and not on the forecourt of Les Halles. It starts this Tuesday July 7, from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Latin music. Tables of ten people will be made available to the public for a total of 400 seats.
The “Summer Circus” festival will be held on July 28-29-30 with free shows by reservation at 05.49.78.74.11.
Also to be seen this summer, a comic strip exhibition at the Pilori and the Grappelli pavilion dedicated to Matthias Picard’s album, “Jim Curious, voyage to the heart of the ocean” from July 10 to August 29. Events are organized on the occasion of centenary of Ernest Pérochon’s Goncourt Prize Friday July 17 and Saturday July 18.
