The new 26th of July Corridor aims to end the traffic congestion and congestion of the old 26th of July Corridor, which stretches from Al-Galaa Street to 6th of October City.

The project began with the construction of the current 26th of July Corridor by widening the road in the distance from the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road to the intersection with the new 26th of July Corridor where work is underway to develop and widen the old axis by adding 3 traffic lanes and thus constructing the Sabtiya Corridor.

The new 26th July Corridor is being constructed starting from Ahmed Orabi Bridge, passing through the airport area, then Bashtil near Upper Egypt Railway Station, Al-Barajil and Kerdasa areas, and will extend to 6 October, until meeting the current Corridor expansions of July 26, after the holding of Omar in Al-Barajil after the descent of the Ring Road, to intersect with three axes, the Orabi Axis, Lieutenant General Kamal Amer Axis and the new 26 July Axis, all also intersect with the ring road.

The new corridor carries traffic from Gamaet El Dewal Al Arabiya Street through Ahmed Orabi Street, bypassing Lebanon Square, and will work to end congestion crises on the old July 26 Corridor, which stretches from Al Galaa Street to October 6 City .

The project involves the construction of a descent from the Orabi axis bridge for the transport of traffic from the Orabi axis to the new July 26 corridor, furthermore a bridge is under construction at the airport grounds which will connect with the bridge of the Orabi axis and will continue to the ring road, and the construction of the Sabtiya-Imbaba axis in the distance from West Nile at the intersection of Ahmed Street. Orabi with Airport Street, in addition to the axis climbs and houses, and the construction of the Sphinx axis in the distance from the west of the Nile to the beginning of the Ahmed Orabi Bridge, to connect the May 15 Bridge with the new July 26 axis to be established .
