Weather, Summer | Warns of severe weather throughout southern Norway:

This coming weekend rightly offers two yellow danger warnings in south-eastern Norway.

One of the warnings is in danger of lightning and thunderstorms in Østafjells, while the other deals with torrential rain for Agder, Telemark, Buskerud, Akershus, Oppland and Hedmark.

– There is a bit of rough weather this weekend in the south, with rain on Sunday. But it may get worse in Eastern Norway and along the coast up Western Norway. The precipitation can also hit other parts of southern Norway, so it will be a bit scattered. It will also rain up to Trøndelag, the duty officer at the Meteorological Institute, Iselin Skjervagen, tells Nettavisen.

Monday really looks better, and even then the trends look clear.

– In Trøndelag and the border areas with Sweden in Eastern Norway, it is a bit cloudy and not too much sun, but Tuesday and Wednesday it will be very nice in large parts of southern Norway. It will also only get warmer and warmer next week, says Skjervagen.

You need to check this

It is the end of the following week that is the best. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the degree can in some places be 30s.

– The three days will be the warmest in all of southern Norway, and on Friday the weather is great from Trøndelag and down. In Kristiansand and Bergen it can be 25 degrees, while Oslo can get 30 degrees, Skjervagen says.

She does not want to advance how much above 30 degrees it can be, but does not rule out that both Oslo and some inner areas can get quite hot.

– You have to remember to apply sunscreen and check the UV forecast, Skjervagen emphasizes.

Worse north

While there are likely to be Southern trends throughout southern Norway, as well as large parts of western Norway and central Norway, it looks worse for those in northern areas.

– It does not look so nice in the north, where it will be gray and sad. Precipitation comes in during Saturday, which affects most of northern Norway, and it continues throughout Sunday with scattered rain showers, says Skjervagen.

She says that the same applies to Monday, although there may be some glare from the sun in some places. On Tuesday, the weather is expected to get a little better, but you can still meet some precipitation, according to the meteorologist.

– On Wednesday it also looks a little better, but on Thursday it will rain again everywhere in northern Norway. The temperature will be around 10-12 in most places, but it may be warmer locally in Nodland and the inner parts of Finmark, says Skjervagen.

The temperature is around 14 degrees for some northerners to cling to for the time being.

– It is without a doubt southern Norway that is the big weather winner, the meteorologist states.
