Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – On New Years in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, heavily cloudy, but mostly dry weather can be expected. In the course of the day, loosening is possible, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach on Friday. The maximum temperatures are twelve to 14 degrees, at high altitudes eleven degrees. According to the DWD forecast, clouds will rise on the night of Sunday. The lowest values are eight to four degrees.
On Sunday it will be cloudy to very cloudy, at times it will rain. Stronger showers with local thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening. The maximum values are ten to twelve degrees, at high altitudes eight degrees. According to the DWD, it will remain cloudy to overcast on Monday. While the showers are supposed to subside in the meantime, rain can be expected in the afternoon and evening. The temperatures are a maximum of nine to twelve degrees, in the mountains around seven degrees. Usually there is a moderate wind with fresh to strong gusts. In high altitudes, stormy gusts are therefore possible.
