Weather in Germany: Great heat, strong thunderstorms

Midsummer makes people in Germany continue to sweat. Also in the coming days it should be hot, humid and thunderstorm.

Thursday starts friendly, later, according to the meteorologists, clouds with regional showers and will form Thunderstorms. It will be hot again with a maximum of 29 to 35 degrees.

Highest temperatures in Baden-Württemberg

Monday had the hottest places in Baden-Württemberg located. The DWD registered in Bad Mergentheim-Neunkirchen with 36.6 degrees, the nationwide highest temperature of the day. In second place was Waghäusel-Kirrlach with 36.4 degrees. Third place of the hottest places went to Rhineland-Palatinate: In Trier-Zewen a maximum daily temperature of 36.3 degrees was measured, as it was called in the evening at the DWD in Offenbach.

In Trier the day before, the nationwide highest temperature of the year had been measured. At the DWD station Trier-Petrisberg, the thermometer climbed to a maximum of 38.6 degrees on Sunday.
