Wearing a mask again compulsory in the most populated areas of Eure-et-Loir

The prefect of Eure-et-Loir Françoise Souliman announced the extension of the wearing of the mask last Friday, it is now official.

The prefecture will extend the wearing of masks to the city centers of municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants in Eure-et-Loir

A prefectural decree imposing the wearing of a mask in several municipalities in the department has just been published.

Mandatory until February 9

The mask therefore becomes compulsory in the cities and the most populated areas of the department, during the day, from 6 a.m. to midnight, for people aged 11 and over, in the municipalities of Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien, Bonneval, Chartres and the municipalities of its urban area: Luisant, Lucé, Mainvilliers, Le Coudray, Lèves, Champhol, Châteaudun, Dreux, Épernon and Nogent-le-Rotrou, until February 9 inclusive.

The decree also recalls that wearing a mask remains always mandatory in outdoor areas around the major shopping centers in the department (in Anet, Arcisses, Barjouville, Hanches, Saint-Denis Lanneray and Saint-Lubin-des-Joncherets), in markets, clearance sales, flea markets or garage sales, during activities or shows on the public highway, during demonstrations, in front of establishments and places of worship and in spaces and queues outside establishments open to the public.

A decision justified by high contamination figures (the highest in the region), “in order to limit the circulation of the virus”.

Sanitary pass: the ARS Centre-Val de Loire advises “not to wait until February 15” to obtain a booster dose

“This significant and unprecedented deterioration in the epidemic situation justifies the need to take additional measures”, explains the Regional Health Agency in a press release.
