The 16th “Bergdoktor” season has it all. After Martin Gruber had to separate from his ex-wife and his girlfriend at the end of season 15, he could now also lose his Gruber farm. His brother Hans makes a deal with the Pflugers.
Ellmau – The 16th season “Der Bergdoktor” has one surprise after the next in store for its viewers. After a lot of fans the Seriestod of Martin Gruber’s (Hans Sigl, 53) ex-wife Franziska, fans can expect the next drama. Hans Gruber enters into a deal with Rolf Pfluger without the consent of his brother Martin.
Bergdoktor Hans Sigl wants to give up – “We lost”
“Mom, we gambled big and we lost. Let’s see to it that we quickly find a buyer for the ‘Grubermilch’. Then we’ll pay off the Anne, pay off most of the loans…” But Rolf Pfluger is not about money at all, as Lisbeth finds out. Instead, Rolf Pfluger offers that Hans and Lisbeth can borrow the machines from his country store and buy everything else at wholesale price.
The only catch is Dr. Martin Gruber, who under no circumstances wants the Pflugers on his farm. He suggests calling Anne: “She’ll get a chunk of money from you and that’s what this is about.”
Criticism of the “Bergdoktor” – specialist journal for doctors criticizes the ZDF series:
“Der Bergdoktor” may be well received by its viewers, but there has already been criticism of the series from a professional perspective. That German Medical Journal characterized protagonist Dr. Martin Gruber as an uncooperative know-it-all whose everyday life in series has little to do with the actual medical profession. The ZDF series is full of clichés and conveys the “classic image of doctors from the old Heimat films”.
Is Martin Gruber’s family finally breaking up?
A bitter blow for Martin. “Now put a smile on your face and go down there. Is that clear?” Lisbeth persuades the disappointed Martin. Will this deal drive the brothers apart once and for all? It is clear that the dispute at the Gruberhof is far from over.
