The Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has high hopes for its new Tonale SUV. He doesn’t try to discover America and plays it quite carefully. The newly launched configurator revealed the Czech prices.

The website of the Tonale model of the Czech representative of the Alfa Romeo car manufacturer seems slightly neglected. Right at the beginning, for example, it combines the Czech and Slovak languages, as well as the information that the vehicle is not yet available, but that the start of sales in the Czech Republic is planned “approximately” for June. You would also have a hard time finding a price list on the site.
However, we can use the newly launched model configurator, from which the most essential information can be read. There are five equipment and two engines, but not all equipment can be combined with all engines. But let’s start step by step, from the basic equipment:
Great from CZK 894,000
You can buy an Alfa Romeo Tonale in Super trim for 894,000 CZK, while you have no choice regarding the engine. In the next step of the configurator, only a hybrid system with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a total output of 96 kW (130 hp) is offered. This also means a seven-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

In the car’s equipment, you can look forward to, for example, Full-LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel consisting of a TFT display, Alfa Connect infotainment with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 6 airbags, keyless start, two-zone automatic air conditioning and an emergency braking system with pedestrian detection and cyclists. Red pastel body paint is standard, for a white or black version you pay an additional 13,000 CZK. The gray metallic Vesuvio will cost 27,000 CZK.
Only one wheel is available – 18-inch with 235/50 R18 tires. Likewise, you only get the interior in one, black fabric version. You only have to pay extra for the rear parking sensors, which cost 5,100 CZK.
Sprint from 957,000 CZK
The Sprint equipment means a jump of 63 thousand crowns, but you still won’t get more engines to choose from. Count on the same 130-horsepower hybrid system, automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. In addition, you get six-way manually adjustable front seats, while the driver’s seat is equipped with a four-way electrically adjustable lumbar support. You can also look forward to keyless access to the car, rear seats split in a 60:40 ratio or a sporty leather steering wheel with a Start button.

In the area of assistance and safety features, Alfa Romeo mentions the addition of adaptive cruise control, GPS information on road signs and front and rear parking sensors. In addition, the infotainment capabilities are expanded with a navigation system and a wireless smartphone charger. In terms of paints, Misano blue metallic was added for CZK 27,000 and Montreal three-layer green paint for CZK 38,200. Also available are 19-inch wheels (27,000 CZK) and brakes with red brake calipers (17,600 CZK), or a black leather interior for 61,000 CZK.
Those from 1,066,000 CZK
With a price tag of over a million crowns, you can get the Tonale with a more powerful engine, i.e. it is the same hybrid system, but tuned for higher performance, namely 118 kW (160 hp). So still no terno. The front wheels are still driven and the seven-speed automatic also remains. It is also possible to pay extra for 20″ wheels for 37,800 CZK. As the equipment levels increase, so do the options for additional equipment.
Let’s mention, for example, the Winter Package for CZK 12,600 (heated windshield washers, heated front seats, heated steering wheel) or Paker Driver Assistance Plus for CZK 38,200 (360° camera, blind spot monitoring with the function of warning of moving obstacles when reversing, parking assistant, exterior mirrors with dimming function etc.). The basic equipment includes a rear parking camera, rear central armrest and 3 headrests, ambient interior lighting or electric opening of the trunk lid.

Veloce for 1,129,000 CZK
Here, the basis is the same engine as in the Ti version, while the basis is already 19-inch wheels with the option of an extra charge for twenty. The color of the brakes is exclusively red and the interior is black leather and Alcantara. The alternative is an exclusively leather interior for 61,000 CZK, which includes the Paket Premium package, which includes ventilated front seats, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory and a Harman/Kardon premium audio system. The standard equipment also includes shift paddles on the steering column or aluminum pedals and thresholds.
Edizione Speciale for 1,000,000 CZK
The specialty is the Edizione Speciale, which is the only one that allows a choice of drive unit. However, don’t expect any unique motorization – you can choose from two power versions of the above-mentioned hybrid drive. You will pay the same million for the 130-horsepower variant, while the 160-horsepower variant costs CZK 1,046,000. In the basic equipment, you will find, for example, contactless opening of the fifth door or 20-inch wheels.
