Solden officially started, northern neighbors make up for loss of turnover in Flanders

The sales officially kicked off on Monday. And once again the Dutch – still affected by a strict lockdown – are flooding our cities. According to the Mode Unie, Antwerp and Hasselt are by far their most popular shopping destination, followed by Ghent, Bruges and Brussels. The shopkeepers and catering managers are rubbing their hands. And for our northern neighbors it is a real party. “What a drama for our economy, but how good of the Belgians, I say.”
