Fresh back from a tour of Iceland, Sweden and the UK, avant-garde electronica Waterflower have released the single “Oh Father”, a song by the famous Madonna, but Waterflower has done it in a “hyperpop” style.
“Oh Father” is a baroque pop ballad recorded by Madonna for her fourth studio album Like a Prayer (1989). Waterflower, real name Sabine Moore, recorded, arranged and produced it in a peculiar, yet suggestive version of the “hyperpop” style. Mixed and mastered by Đirts Laumanis or Lomix.
On the other hand, the extremely shocking video clip of “Oh Father” was filmed in Helsinki, as part of “Kino Euphoria 2023”. The creative team of the filming consisted of Sabine Moore herself (director, musician), actors Anna Kolkowska and Mira Salmela, as well as Finnish drag queens Jamie Deetz and Anafina Slick.
