Watch the new Land Rover Defender pulls a 40-ton truck uphill – Motor

The driver of a Scania car transporter stalled on an icy hill at the entrance to the Swansway Land Rover showroom in Stafford, UK. The description for the new Land Rover Defender says that the maximum mass of the towed trailer is 3.5 tons, and according to an estimate Autoevolution the loaded Scania P410 tractor weighed under 40 tons. Nevertheless, the Defender coped with the task: as soon as the electronics correctly distributed the torque along the axles, the SUV dragged the truck to safety without any problems. It is not said directly, but it looks like the Defender D300 with the new 300-horsepower (650 Nm) in-line 3.0-liter Ingenium turbodiesel came out as a “savior”.
