To accompany this change, the urban area of Chartres Métropole has sent each household an information note, a collection calendar for the second half of the year, as well as a memo-sorting specifying the new instructions. Without forgetting a sticker for the same purpose.
Specifically, here are the new guidelines in detail: In addition to paper and cardboard, aluminum, steel and glass packaging, residents will be able to sort all of their plastic packaging: bottles, flasks, cans, trays, jars, sachets. The sorted items do not need to be washed beforehand, they just need to be well emptied. They can be deposited loose in the sorting bin. The yellow bags have already been distributed in larger quantities to take into account the increase in tonnages to come. For their part, the voluntary contribution points are the subject of a modification of the signage integrating the new sorting instructions. Finally, the yellow bins will be changed in 2023.
