JAKARTA – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif will send a warning letter to companies that use solar subsidies but not rights. This step is an effort to ensure supervision of the distribution of subsidized fuel.
“From the center, we will make a warning letter so that the industry uses fuel according to its designation,” he said, quoted on Monday (11/4/2022).
Likewise, the industry under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin will take firm action if he finds any mining operational vehicles that use subsidized diesel.
“We will take steps, first reminding, then monitoring, and if there are still deviations, we will take firm action,” said Arifin.

Arifin also highlighted the fraudulent practice of modifying the vehicle’s tank capacity which played a major role in the occurrence of diesel fuel shortages.
“We will be satisfied. However, it must be seen that the vehicles that consume fuel are correct or not, many examples of 6-wheeled trucks should have a 120 liter tank, modified the tank to 400 liters, this is not true. Moreover, the amount taken is not used for its designation, so many stalls outside of unofficial gas stations,” he said.
For this reason, he promised to evaluate the current system and infrastructure.
