MOSCOW – The amphibious command ship USS Mount Whitney which is the mainstay of the Sixth Fleet United States of America (USA), entered the Black Sea on Thursday (4/11/2021). The USS Mount Whitney joins the USS Porter, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer already present in the area on “routine patrols.”

The Russian Navy has confirmed it continues to track the foreign warship fleet during their deployment.

“Russian frigate Admiral Essen has carried out simulated drills in response to enemy air strikes,” a statement from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet said.
