Warmer than 25 degrees, so regional heat wave in Brabant and Limburg

For a heat wave, it must be warmer than 25 degrees for five days in a row, and more than 30 degrees for three days. For a national heatwave, that must be in De Bilt – and it never happened.

But it got warm enough in Brabant and Limburg. That was expected, but it was still exciting, says Leander de Wit of Buienradar. “Just a cloud has to pass over a measuring station. Then it is cooler and the 25 degrees are not reached.”

The next week will be over with the heat: we will get temperatures below normal for the time of year. “It will be 18 to 20 or 21 degrees. In the southeast it can get even warmer.”

It will not remain dry either. Especially on Wednesdays and Thursdays there is quite a chance of a shower, “but there is also a chance of precipitation on the other days.”
