Max Verstappen, the champion of the previous two years, will start the new Formula One (F1) season as a clear favourite. In the longest 23-round season ever for a leading team Red Bull the most reasonable expectations to approach are Mercedes, Ferrari and perhaps Aston Martin units. Dutch driver Verstappen won his first world title two years ago in fierce competition with the previously dominant Mercedes leader Lewis Hamilton. Although serious competition at the beginning of last season Red Bull provided Ferrari leading driver Charles Leclair, Verstappen won his second title in dominant fashion, reaching a new record of fifteen victories in one season. “I’ve never really been into statistics, I try to enjoy the moment. The most important thing for me is to go home feeling like I’ve done my best. F1 is very much about your circumstances. It’s been an amazing season for me and I’m happy to have won so many races ,” Verstappen did not hide that much of the credit for his record was Red Bull teams over competitors.
