Warkop DKI’s Last Warning for Warkop

Warkop DKI give a warning to Warkopi who are considered to have violated Intellectual Property Rights. Warkop DKI gave his last warning.

In a virtual press conference, Warkop DKI asked Warkop to change its name. Warkop is considered very similar to Warkop DKI.

Warkopi was asked to no longer use that name and change its name within seven days, starting from October 6, 2021.

“We remain consistent with the statement at the press conference 20 September 2021, all forms of using the name Warung Kopi Dono Kasino Indro,” said Satrio Sarwo Trengginas as the son of the late Dono who read the release online, Wednesday (6/10/2021).

“We remind Warkopi not to use the name Warkop for seven days since this release was issued. Because the name Warkop is very closely related to Warkop DKI,” said Satrio.

In addition, the DKI Warkop really appreciates the good faith of Warkop who has apologized for this matter. Warkop has also been willing to lower their content which is similar to Warkop DKI.

Until now, Hanna Sukmaningsih as a representative of the DKI Warkop Institute said that his party had not yet taken legal action.

“In terms of institutions, I think if we want to get in touch, we ask what we asked for before,” said Hanna.

“E-mail us asking for details. What is the goal, what are the concrete expectations. That was not answered. Then we asked to stop the activity under the name Warkopi, which has not been carried out yet,” he continued.
