Does anyone else remember this tendency to “hack” your friends’ social networks every time they leave them unattended, and post things like “ha ha my butt smells”? We certainly do, and we were glad those days were behind us …
Except they aren’t, because Wario just “hacked” Nintendo’s Twitter account. And by “hacked” we mean “someone hired the social media manager to pretend to be Wario, which seems like a nightmare, but honestly we think that would be pretty fun”.
Here’s what Wario did this Friday afternoon on Twitter:
BWAAAAAAAAAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha https://t.co/Fd3mMrhIwA- Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 10, 2021
Wario goes back to 2018, when he said a very similar thing. We can’t blame him, because that’s basically his slogan.
Wario is going to look for gold in his own face. What a charmer.
I drew this picture in one of my microgames! Good right?
My stomach is so full of love I might just fart. WAH! #WarioWareGetItTogether pic.twitter.com/i1YMPdKeAq

Wario talks about farts. Isn’t it interesting that what Nintendo considers the evil opposite of Mario to be just a really disgusting, smelly guy? You would think Mario, as a plumber, would be that smelly too.
However, this is a very relevant statement. We are also often full of farts.
Question time! Who is the number 1 character in #WarioWareGetItTogether! ??? – Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 10, 2021
Wario is launching a poll to find out who’s the best. The winner, unsurprisingly, is Wario.

A reminder that Wario, the face of WarioWare and lover of tramp smells, is a very stinky boy.
The Nintendo social team here. We just recovered Wario’s account… but he left a few goodbye words. Listen here: pic.twitter.com/kr9mRYqi0v— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 10, 2021
Apparently, Wario misses Twitter, because “Twitter stinks”. Honestly, it looks like Nintendo really needs to figure out once and for all what Wario’s stance on stink is because it’s unclear.
Either way, WarioWare: Get It Together! is out now, and we know from good authority that it doesn’t stink, in fact. In a good way, that is.
Are you smelly? Let us know in the comments.
