This is what the President of Chechnya – Ramzan Kadyrov – writes his official account on the encrypted messaging service Telegram.
– Our special operation in Ukraine has been going on for four days. But I do not understand why we should continue to babysit «Banderivtsi»he says, referring to a far-right group in Ukraine.
Kadyrov uses similar insults as his Russian allies. Vladimir Putin has used similar conspiracy theories as motivation for the invasion of Ukraine – and stated that he will de-Nazify the country.
However, he did not mention that the President of Ukraine is a Jew and that he leads a government that has broad support in the West. Nor that Putin’s own regime has had close contact with outer right wing in the West.

Slaughter
But as Chechnya’s infamous dictator reflects on Putin’s use of language, he slaughters Russian military tactics.
Cause: It is – according to Kadyrov – too weak.
He writes on Telegram:
– Opponents are armed to the teeth with new weapons, ammunition and heavy equipment of the latest edition. We continue to revolve around hoping for an attack of wisdom by the authorities and the military leadership. (…) But if they do not themselves show remorse and want to take care of their population, why should we put our boys in the lurch?
Inna Sangadzhieva, senior adviser to the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, explained to Dagbladet on Saturday that Kadyrov is dependent on Putin’s support to stay in power, while Putin is dependent on Kadyrov to keep the Islamist forces in the Caucasus in check.
Kadyrov’s army is in a way private. Unlike the armed forces in other regions, the soldiers in Chechnya are not subject to the practice of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Kadyrov’s army can circumvent rules and mandates, Sangadzhieva said.
The telegram statement from Ramzan Kadyrov continues:
– It is time to make a decision – and start a large-scale operation in all directions and areas of Ukraine. I myself have planned strategy and tactics against terrorists several times and participated in combat. In my view, the tactics in Ukraine are too slow and ineffective. (…) The West and Europe have done what they can to harm Russia. Why should we stop now? We must end what we have begun. Everyone kills and destroys in war – it is inevitable. If the Ukrainians do not want a dialogue with us and refuse negotiations – and do not themselves take action against the Nazis and devils – we must end what we have begun, and do so quickly.
Among the Chechen special forces observed in Ukraine is Daniil Martynov – an adviser to President Kadyrov and a former Russian special forces soldier.
–
Must be “more convincing”
He states:
– We do not need any losses. Our people are the most important thing. And since they have twice refused to negotiate, all we need to do is change tactics. It will be more convincing for them.

Kadyrov has offered its private army to crush Ukraine. He himself is a very brutal leader who does not tolerate opposition. He has previously sent death squads to other countries to kill Chechen activists in exile. He offered his private army service for service in Ukraine on Saturday, and Chechen personnel have been observed with weapons in the country.
Sangadzhieva in the Helsinki Committee told Dagbladet on Saturday that she has no doubt that Kadyrov is willing to contribute to Russia’s war:
– No, I do not doubt for a second that Kadyrov may be willing to do this. He has a fairly powerful army. Kadyrov’s forces have previously been involved in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the annexation of Crimea and they were also observed during Russia’s war against Georgia, Sangadzhieva said.

Fear the Chechens
At the border between Poland and Ukraine, where in recent days there has been a steady stream of young men who want to enlist in the fight against the Russians, Dagbladet itself was referred to how Kadyrov’s forces are particularly feared.
Roman and Mikhail, two Ukrainian trailer drivers, put it this way:
– Now the Chechens are coming. They do not shoot you, they chop you and twist the knife around your body. Like kebab lamb at the butcher.
