09.21. The European Union on Tuesday disconnected three Russian banks from its international payment information transfer system SWIFT, including its largest bank, Sberbank.
The sixth package of sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, adopted in early June, aims to disable Sberbank, Moscow’s credit bank and Rosselhozbank from SWIFT.
