Wants to promote co-creation of sustainable innovations between industries :: Dienas Bizness

Innovation strategy company Helve with Citadel bank revealed Future Hub the second accelerator program, promoting sustainable innovation co-operation between industries.

During the second accelerator program from September to December 2021, start-ups will be given the opportunity to work on current sustainability challenges together with market-leading companies. The aim of the second accelerator program is to promote co-operation also between market-leading companies and to ensure the sustainable development of innovation between industries.

The co-creation accelerator is currently calling Future Hub apply for start-ups in the Baltic, Nordic and nearby Central European regions operating in the fields of food, agriculture, mobility, urban environment, energy, supply chain logistics, CO2 measurement, ESG and others.

In order to foster the development of innovations that offer sustainable solutions and strive for a better future, Helve At the end of 2020, the first open innovation accelerator in the Baltics was established Future Hub. The accelerator brings together a European-level start-up with Baltic companies to create practical solutions to corporate sustainability challenges.

The aim of the program is to encourage both green technology start-ups and leading companies in the Baltic market to form new collaborations and develop through co-creation. “Co-creation and open innovation processes are a powerful tool for business development, but successful sustainability innovations go far beyond a single company or even an industry. Creating a sustainable business environment and the world around us together is just a logical next step. Already during the first program, we observed the desire of companies to learn from each other and cooperate. We will start the second program with a new goal – to promote co-creation in the field of sustainability not only between start-ups and companies, but also between market leaders themselves, ”reveals Helve co-founder and manager Marija Ručevska.

Citadele banka Future Hub joins the second program not only as one of the companies that will cooperate with start-ups, but also as co-organizers of the program. Citadel The aim of membership is to change companies’ views on sustainability and to guide the business environment to see sustainability as a common goal for all. Within the accelerator Citadel will promote co-operation with other companies through successfully proven innovation processes within the bank, as well as by sharing experience, knowledge and data.

“It is clear that only together with large companies, ambitious start-ups and experienced experts can we find the best solutions and develop sustainable innovations,” adds Vladislav Mironov, Citadele’s board member for strategy implementation, digital and business development.

The leading companies in the Baltic market that have already joined Future Hub, have also set their own sustainability challenges, which will serve as a basis for cooperation with start – ups. Citadele, the co-organizer of the accelerator, has set two challenges – the bank’s team is looking for solutions for ESG data analysis, as well as sustainable lending and investment product development.

From the first program the accelerator joins Rimi Baltic Grouplooking for sustainable e-store packaging solutions. Also Latvenergo Future Hub joins for the second time and is looking for a solution to the flexibility of the energy system and ways to digitize electricity generation facilities.
