We have already heard about Leaked Nintendo E3 Plans Including Splatoon 3, Zelda and Smash Bros., And more. And now, it looks like Metroid will be joining this lineup.
After a new leak from Walmart reveals that a new Metroid title is on the way, this leak confirms when it will launch in 2021.

New Metroid game in 2021
It’s been 4 years since the last Metroid release, and even this was a new version of Metroid 2. Now, a new Metroid game could arrive in 2021.
Metroid is one of Nintendo’s best-known brands, but it doesn’t get a lot of attention. All of that may be about to change, according to a new leak from Walmart Canada.
On the Canadian site, Walmart currently includes a new Metroid game for the Nintendo Switch. So far, very little has been revealed about the list of placeholders, but retailers often get the inside scoop on upcoming releases.

Sometimes a leak like this means very little, but it looks like it could be legitimate. Reliable leaker Samus Hunter was quick to comment on the new development.
“The new Metroid is one of the projects planned for 2021, and the game is expected to launch after the anniversary in September / October,” the leak wrote. “As I said, although I still do not know the range of titles that were revealed at E3, I am convinced that we will see them.”

According to experts, the new Metroid game can be released in September / October this year. Around this time, Nintendo will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Metroid series.
It stands to reason that this is a major Metroid release and that we will hear more about it at E3 2021. However, whether it is the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 or not, no one knows.
