Kemba Walker had 28 points, his highest number of the season, and the Boston Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 121-109 on Friday night.

The Celtics were leading by as many as 27 points in the third period, before that margin narrowed to 108-99 with 4:50 to play in the game. But Daniel Theis contributed 10 points during the rest of the meeting for the Celtics, to end the confrontation.
