Conditions in the plan approval decision included the conversion of a switch in Freiburg, a signal in Denzlingen and the conversion of the Batzenhäusle BÜ before electrification of the line, as this BÜ is not part of the planning procedure for the electrification of the Elztalbahn, but a separate approval procedure. Even if this level crossing is decisive for the drivability of the half-hourly cycle. This must therefore be functionally reliable. No matter. So conversion of the level crossing before 03.2020. That didn’t happen.
According to the website of the DB construction projects, the level crossing should have been rebuilt on June 12th, 2020 – August 6th, 2020. This also did not happen:
