The insurer Wakam is about to open its capital. The small independent French insurance company has given a mandate to the American investment bank Greenhill to raise between “150 and 200 million euros” from new shareholders, learned “Les Echos”.
The insurer is now owned by the family office Opéra Finance, attached to the Beaufour family behind the pharmaceutical group Ipsen (70% of the capital) and by its managing director, Olivier Jaillon (30%). “We do not want to sell the company at all, assures the latter, we are trying to raise capital to accelerate our growth. »
