‘Government is the limiting factor’

THE HAGUE – The Wadden Islands are in danger of becoming inaccessible. Due to strict nature regulations, dredging sand may no longer be extracted from the Wadden Sea from 1 January. Shipping companies and Wadden Sea municipalities foresee major problems and appeal to outgoing minister Barbara Visser (Infrastructure and Water Management) to come up with solutions.
