WAC coach Ferdinand Feldhofer is annoyed: “goods too naive”

It looked as if the great run of the WAC would continue on the 25th matchday of the Bundesliga and the Lavanttalers would finally become Salzburg number one:

After 37 minutes and another shining performance by top scorer Shon Weissman, the “Wolves” were 2-0 at home in front of Hartberg, in the end the WAC suffered a bitter 2: 4 loss (match report >>>).

“We missed a huge opportunity to sit down. The disappointment is huge. A bitter evening. In the first half, we failed to finish our opponents and lead 3-0, 4-0,” comments coach Ferdinand Feldhofer .

Feldhofer criticizes the outnumbered game

The crux of the game was the 47 minute: With a score of 2-1 for the WAC, Nemanja Rnic let himself be carried away by a foul on Tadic in the penalty area, the Serb sees yellow-red, Tadic converts the due penalty to 2: 2.

For Feldhofer, the game was far from lost at that point, so the former defender was angry: “After 2-2 and one less man, we were perhaps too naive, should have been more compact and deeper.”
