Since yesterday evening, the Shiveluch on Kamchatka (Russia) has been ejecting clouds of ash again. According to VAAC Tokyo, they are rising to an altitude of almost 9000 m and are drifting towards the east. KVERT warns of further eruptions that could pose a threat to air traffic. A lava dome grows in the crater of the volcano. The ash clouds could be promoted purely explosively, or in connection with departures of pyroclastic flows.
Ruapehu with severe tremor

A new phase of strong tremors began on Friday on the Ruapehu volcano in New Zealand and continued over the weekend. In general, the situation seemed to be easing in the last few weeks, since the tremor activity had been declining for 3 weeks. The same is true for the water temperatures of the crater lake: they dropped to 22 degrees and stabilized at this level. The alarm status remains at “2”.
Etna with increased tremor

Since yesterday, there have been somewhat stronger fluctuations than usual. A moderate heat signal is registered. This comes from the Bocca Nuova. Medium-level infrasound events are also coming from the direction of the central crater, indicating explosive activity. So the volcano could be strombolian active.
