Of the more than 250 episodes of “FC De Kampioenen” there are now 19 that are no longer broadcast. Earlier this year, two other episodes were found inappropriate, because a then-guest actor was recently convicted of assaulting a minor.
Last year, 16 episodes were cancelled. This means that they are no longer broadcast on TV or have been taken offline on VRT NU. These are episodes that contain, for example, racist, sexist, homophobic or stereotypical comments, or in which convicted guest actors play a part. “That happens after complaints or comments from viewers who feel personally attacked or offended by a certain image,” it reads.
