Voyager Space to Launch Starlab Space Station into Orbit with SpaceX’s Starship – Replacing the ISS in 2028

JAKARTA – Voyager Space, a space company, announced that the Starlab Space Station will be launched into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) with SpaceX’s Starship launch vehicle.

Chairman and CEO of Voyager Space, Dylan Taylor, said that Starlab Space, a company built with Airbus, deliberately chose SpaceX because Elon Musk’s company has a good launch track record.

“SpaceX’s history of success and reliability led our team to choose Starship. SpaceX is the unmatched leader in launches and we are proud that Starlab will launch into orbit in a single flight with Starship,” said Taylor.

Meanwhile, SpaceX representatives admitted they were enthusiastic about Starship being selected as the Starlab launcher. According to the company, the presence of Starlab supports the presence of humans in orbit and realizes multiplanetary life.

“Starlab’s single launch solutions continue to demonstrate not only what is possible, but also how the future of commercial space is happening today,” said SpaceX Senior Vice President of Commercial Business, Tom Ochinero.

The Starlab Space Station is scheduled to launch into orbit in 2028. This commercial station will replace the International Space Station (ISS) belonging to the United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) which is about to retire.

After the ISS falls to Earth and burns up in the atmosphere, Starlab will serve customers from all over the world, including space agencies, commercial companies and researchers. This station will be used as a place for rest and research for astronauts.

So far, Starlab has completed the System Requirements Review, System Definition Review, and Human in The Loop Testing. To maximize its progress, Starlab Space has partnered with Northrop Grumman and will partner with the European Space Agency (ESA).
