Volvo press service announced that the updated basic equipment of the XC90 2021 model year will be available from May 1, 2020

The changes affected the exterior design and interior decoration, comfort and safety functions. The most affordable version of Momentum will have options that previously received only more expensive configurations.

Now Momentum will have 19-inch wheels (previously only 18 inches), a keyless entry system, electric rear head restraints, the ability to deactivate the front passenger airbag for installing a child seat and automatic dimming of the interior rear-view mirror and side exterior mirrors (from dazzle passing cars). The XC90 will also be able to recognize traffic signs. The list of options includes an electric trunk door with remote control, a socket in the trunk and a special air purification system.

Volvo noted that, despite the difficult economic situation, they tried to minimize the impact of expanding the basic version on the cost of the flagship SUV.

The cost of the Volvo XC90 Momentum 2021 model year will be 4,280,000 rubles. The price of the model will increase by 100,000 rubles – with an increase in the options package by 200,000 rubles. The cost of other versions will also increase by 100,000 rubles, with the exception of the more powerful T8 Twin Engine specification with a hybrid powerplant – there will be a less significant rise in price by 50,000 to 6,268,000 rubles.

According to the Avtostat agency, in the first quarter of 2020, sales of the XC90 full-size crossover in the Russian market grew by 14.4% and amounted to 446 cars. He took second place in terms of sales among Volvo models in our country.
