Volleyball. N2M. Kloar-Aven – Chartres Volley: leaders in difficulty – Volleyball

N2M. Kloar-Aven – Chartres Volley : 2-3

Facing Chartres, the Cloharsiens demonstrated, once again, that they had nothing to envy the strongest teams of National 2. Immediately in the game against the Beauce leaders (25-23 in the first set), the Cloharsiens were quick to show that they were capable of winning the game. “With this first set, we felt that it was possible to win by putting their reception in difficulty” confided Stéphane Mandé, coach Cloharsien, after a match finally lost in the fifth set.

penalizing faults

After a second set once again very balanced (23-25) and a third set again high on the Clohars side
(25-22), he did not lack much for the locals to win. It was probably the service faults of the fourth set (nearly ten) that weighed in the balance of an almost perfect set that was finally lost 22-25.

“We tried to put their reception in difficulty, but we gave too many services and we must recognize that they had powerful attackers opposite. We will remember the positive…”

“It restores confidence”

The fifth set was also played narrowly, Clohars leading by four points (11-7) before being joined (11-11) then overwhelmed at the end of the match. “We held the match and then there was a bit of inaccuracy. It’s of course frustrating but taking a point against the leaders remains a great success for us. And then it restores confidence to see that we are able to shake up the leaders of the championship” adds Stéphane Mandé, happy to have seen his players regain their highest level by producing a “coherent and positive” game.
