Volkswagen began official deliveries of a new generation Polo liftback to Russian dealers. According to the press service of the German brand, the first cars will appear in showrooms next week. Gather a novelty at the company’s factory in Kaluga.
The car will be offered to customers in four trim levels: Origin, Respect, Status, Exclusive. Prices for the car start from 792,900 rubles. Those wishing to purchase the top version will have to pay a minimum of 1,111,900 rubles.
The car became the first Volkswagen model in Russia to use a completely new corporate logo. As before, Volkswagen Polo is offered with 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engines. The power of the units is 90 and 110 horsepower. Also, the car can be equipped with a 1.4-liter supercharged engine, issuing 125 horsepower.
The basic unit operates with a manual gearbox, and a 110-horsepower engine can also work with a six-speed “automatic”. The top “turbo-four” comes with a seven-band “robot” with two clutches.
The length of the car was 4483 mm, width – 1706 mm, and height – 1484 mm, which is 97 mm longer, 7 mm wider and 17 mm higher than its predecessor. The luggage compartment grew by 90 liters – up to 550 liters. Ground clearance increased by 7 mm – up to 170 millimeters.
