A permanent revenue loss of 10 percent next year. That is what VOKA, the Flemish Network of Enterprises, predicts for Flemish companies. A survey of the employers’ organization shows that companies are still suffering from the corona crisis.
“That means we are moving towards an economy that only runs at 90 percent of its capacity,” says Hans Maertens of VOKA. “The recovery of the economy will therefore take a very long time, just like the fight against the corona crisis itself. Domestic consumption is slackening, but exports also continue to suffer heavily from the corona measures.”
