The Vodafone operator has started to offer a fixed internet connection with a speed and one Gbit / s instead of the current 500 Mbit / s. 1.3 million households and companies will be available within the reach of the former UPC cable company, which Vodafone acquired last year. The company announced this in the press first.
Vodafone’s gigabit connection costs 999 K msn. From Thursday, six months will be available for the final price of 399 crowns. For example, O2 offers a similar speed in 799 K msn. For entrepreneurs and companies, the gigabit internet from Vodafone to Plron is conveniently available for the price of CZK 1,099, the price also includes a premium, a fixed IP address and a SmartGuard application for protection against cyber flows.
Vodafone has so far offered gigabit connections only very limited through optical partners, such as CETIN. Several thousand households were available. According to the Czech Statistical Series (S), about half of the active Internet connections in the Czech Republic can only connect at speeds of up to 30 Mbit / s.
CETIN, which provides the infrastructure and competing O2, had 34,000 gigabit-type optical connections in the first half of the year, and another half a million are in various building phases. In total, CETIN wants a million optical connections by 2026.
The house must be connected to a park on which it is relied. For customers who want a peak and a stable internet, the Vodafone pin has the highest possible speed in the Czech Republic. With a fixed connection of one gigabit per second, you can deal with lightning-fast download and online gaming for the whole family without limits, said Vodafone’s vice president for non-corporate customers Quique Vivas. In addition to the speed, Vodafone has deployed a new generation of owl technology, which also includes powerful modems with strong Wi-Fi.
A number of users want to connect a long time or use a smart device, where there is a working household and companies on the Internet. A Gigabit connection can simultaneously download large files, use corporate systems, communicate with clients via video conferencing, use new Internet technologies, watch 4K videos, or educate children using online learning. The state of a feature film in high definition takes only a few seconds.
