The Vodafone Group announced on Monday that it has chosen Samsung Electronics as its leading supplier of 5G networking equipment and virtualized solutions in the UK.
With the latest relocation, Samsung effectively entered the European market months after countries on the continent started to replace Chinese Huawei technologies as a supplier of 5G equipment.
The UK federal government last year banned the use of Huawei’s 5G devices and ordered all company facilities in the UK to be phased out by 2027.
