The Delfshaven area committee does not consider it possible to leave the ship open that day, because it is part of the colonial past of the Netherlands. The reconstructed ship is docked at the Achterhaven without much attention being paid to the colonial past. The people who provide the tours on the ship are therefore receiving further training.
The area committee further urges the arrival of an expertise center in the district to increase knowledge about colonialism and slavery.
