The defender of the big globe Petra Vlhová has completed the first slalom round of the World Cup season. After leaving the elite thirty, the Slovak ski slope was in first place with a time of 52.15 seconds.

She chose second on the track. She did not make a significant mistake on the rhythmic track and gradually built her lead from the start to the finish.
The second was the ongoing American Mikaela Shiffrin with a loss of eleven hundredths of a second. The third was Slovenian Andreja Slokarová with a deficit of 0.48 seconds.

Vlhová defends last year’s winning double, she also won in Levi in 2017. In Lapland she also took second and third place.
Thanks to this, the resort is 170 kilometers behind the Arctic Circle and its most successful slope in the World Cup.
Vlhová entered the season in third place in the huge slalom in Sölden, she missed last week’s race in Lech. Slokarová won a parallel huge slalom.
