Vivir del Cuento’s Actor Expresses Displeasure with Gasoline’s Water Content: Appreciation to CUPET.

The Cuban actor Marlon Pijuán complained on social networks about the level of water inside the fuel bought in a Servicupet in Havana.

In an image he shared on Twitter, the well-known member of the Vivir del Cuento cast denounced the risk faced by vehicles on the island running on “baptized” gasoline, to the point that, when the fuel settles, it is almost half by half. The theft is not even a few ml, it is liters, when a driver buys in places that are completely state-owned and managed by the government.

The problem is a vicious circle, because Cubans cannot access any service other than the one offered by the state entity CUPET.

“Thank you CUPET for the excellent service. Share that this is not just happening to me. I don’t know the CUPET label, if someone knows it, please put it on,” said the actor ironically.

In the shared image you can see the amount of water inside the fuel in a transparent container.

In addition to the soaked fuel, Cubans complain of long lines to even buy it.

“I’ve been, or we’ve been because we’re crazy, three hours here on the Line and F to get gasoline. The tail bends G towards the sea,” a Cuban told our newspaper this Friday from Havana, where drivers complain about the shortage made out of fuel.

A citizen of the island sent a complaint to the editorial staff of CubitaNOW showing the serious situation.

“We are going for four hours. This is up to G and from there, towards the sea,” warned the driver who asked us to say something “about the scarcity, not to say absence, of fuel in Havana. Let’s see if they, the who ignore us, even if they say something”.

The source assured that the fuel problem has been going on for days and “drivers are going crazy in WhatsApp groups.”

“More time is being lost in that than even in the queues at the stores. There are people who have slept since last night in the service centers, waiting for the pipe truck to arrive.”

The statements of other Cuban drivers revolved around the long waiting times.

“(The queue) is good. I’ve been here since 11 at night,” said one person in a WhatsApp group at half past five in the morning.

“Imagine, I got here around 4 in the afternoon, I scored at 1st and 12 and now I’m at 1st and 4,” said someone else, in these groups that have been created to find service centers with the long-awaited liquid.
