Mount Penedo do Galo, in Viveiro (Lugo), once again reported winds of more than 140 kilometers per hour (km/h) this Wednesday, another day of storm warning in which different points of the Galician geography recorded gusts that exceed 100 kilometers per hour.
According to the maximum values of Meteogalicia until noon, the Penedo do Galo meteorological station recorded the strongest winds in the Community, with 140.1 km/h at 10:50 in the morning.
The second highest value was reported in Punta Candieira, in the locality of Cedeira, with 117.9 km/ha at an average of 12.20; while the third was in O Xistral, in Muras (Lugo), with 112.3 km/ha at 12.50.
Still above 100, gusts of 102.4 km/ha were recorded at 10:20 at the Lardeira station, in Carballeda de Valdeorras (Ourense).
All this on another day of abundant rainfall recorded, especially in the Atlantic provinces, even if it did not reach the values of Tuesday.
Thus, until 13:00 this Wednesday, the Castrove meteorological station, in Poio (Pontevedra), accumulated 46.7 liters per square meter of rain, followed closely by the Cespn, in Boiro (A Corua), with 45 ,1 l/m2.
Meteogalicia maintains an orange warning for waves and a yellow warning for strong winds in a large part of the coast of the Galician Community, as well as for heavy rains that could leave more than 40 l/m2 in the municipalities of the Costa da Morte and throughout the province of Pontevedra.
