Viveiro (Lugo) once again reports winds of 140 km/h and other points in Galicia register gusts of over 100

Mount Penedo do Galo, in Viveiro (Lugo), once again reported winds of more than 140 kilometers per hour (km/h) this Wednesday, another day of storm warning in which different points of the Galician geography recorded gusts that exceed 100 kilometers per hour.

According to the maximum values ​​of Meteogalicia until noon, the Penedo do Galo meteorological station recorded the strongest winds in the Community, with 140.1 km/h at 10:50 in the morning.

The second highest value was reported in Punta Candieira, in the locality of Cedeira, with 117.9 km/ha at an average of 12.20; while the third was in O Xistral, in Muras (Lugo), with 112.3 km/ha at 12.50.

Still above 100, gusts of 102.4 km/ha were recorded at 10:20 at the Lardeira station, in Carballeda de Valdeorras (Ourense).

All this on another day of abundant rainfall recorded, especially in the Atlantic provinces, even if it did not reach the values ​​of Tuesday.

Thus, until 13:00 this Wednesday, the Castrove meteorological station, in Poio (Pontevedra), accumulated 46.7 liters per square meter of rain, followed closely by the Cespn, in Boiro (A Corua), with 45 ,1 l/m2.

Meteogalicia maintains an orange warning for waves and a yellow warning for strong winds in a large part of the coast of the Galician Community, as well as for heavy rains that could leave more than 40 l/m2 in the municipalities of the Costa da Morte and throughout the province of Pontevedra.
